Fantasy Sports Disclaimer

Written in plain English. This document describes, accurately, how the product actually works. The corporate details — legal entity, state of incorporation, registered address and governing law — are settled and stated in the Terms of Service. Where anything here conflicts with the law that applies to you, the law wins. Questions or corrections: support@bellcowgm.com.
Bellcow GM is a decision-support tool for season-long fantasy football. It reads your league, does the work, and hands you a ranked plan. What it does not do is play the season for you — and it cannot make football predictable.
You execute every transaction yourself.
Bellcow is read-only, always. It never submits a lineup, never files a waiver claim, never sends a trade offer, never drops a player, never accepts anything on your behalf. It tells you the exact move, and you make it in your own platform in a few taps. Nothing in this product can touch your team without you.
1. Decision support, not a manager
Bellcow's job is to compress a week of research into a short list of decisions and to show its reasoning for each one. Your job is to decide. The plan is a recommendation, ranked by how much we think it moves your season — not an instruction, and not a script you have to follow. Ignoring a recommendation is a normal and legitimate use of the product.
2. Bellcow does not control outcomes
Bellcow has no influence over what happens on a football field, in your league, or on your platform. It does not affect play calls, snap counts, targets, injuries, coaching decisions, weather, officiating, or your opponent's lineup. It observes and estimates. That is the whole of its power.
3. NFL performance is genuinely unpredictable
This is not a disclaimer written to cover us; it is the central fact of the sport. A starting running back can be ruled out ninety minutes before kickoff. A third receiver can catch two touchdowns and never do it again. A coordinator can change a player's role on a Wednesday with no public announcement. A season can turn on one non-contact injury. No model, ours included, can price that out. Weekly fantasy scoring has enormous variance, and a well-built projection can be badly wrong on any single week without being a bad projection.
4. Projections are estimates
- A weekly projection is a central estimate of a wide distribution — not a prediction of the score.
- Rest-of-season numbers are given as median, floor and ceiling because a single figure would overstate certainty.
- Player values, trade-acceptance estimates and championship-odds changes are modeled, and Bellcow says so on the face of the recommendation.
- Playoff and title probabilities come from simulation and carry a margin of error. When a move's effect is smaller than that error, Bellcow says the move is too close to call instead of inventing a number.
The fuller explanation of confidence, error and why the numbers move is on the AI Disclaimer page.
5. League rules vary, and yours might break an assumption
Fantasy leagues are endlessly configurable. Bellcow reads your scoring, lineup slots, waiver type and budget, and playoff structure directly from your league and applies them — but it can still get a league wrong:
- Unusual or custom scoring categories a platform reports in a non-standard way.
- Superflex, multi-flex, IDP, taxi squads, deep benches and other formats with configuration quirks.
- Keeper and dynasty rules, contract leagues, salary caps and auction budgets, which change what a player is worth to you in ways a redraft-shaped model does not fully capture.
- Off-platform rules your commissioner enforces by agreement rather than in software — trade vetoes, collusion rules, roster-move limits, trade deadlines.
- Mid-season settings changes that a sync has not picked up yet.
Your commissioner and your league's rules always outrank Bellcow. Check that a suggested move is legal in your league before you make it. If Bellcow has misread your settings, tell us at support@bellcowgm.com — that is a bug and we want it.
6. Platform integrations and their limits
Bellcow reads leagues from Sleeper, ESPN and Yahoo, or from a manual or CSV import. Those connections are read-only and depend entirely on the other party's systems. An API can be rate-limited, changed, or withdrawn at any time, and a sync can be stale at the exact moment you need it. Manual import is always available as a fallback that depends on nobody. The licence status of each connector, including the parts that are not settled, is published on Data Sources.
7. Timing is on you
Waiver deadlines, lineup locks, trade deadlines and bye weeks are your responsibility. Bellcow can flag a lineup problem, but it cannot lock in your start/sit for you and it will not stop you missing a deadline. Check your lineup before kickoff. Every week.
8. Not gambling, and no betting language here
Bellcow is not a gambling service, a sportsbook, a daily-fantasy operator or a betting-tips product. It does not accept wagers, run contests, hold entry fees, pay prizes, or provide picks against a betting line. Publicly available game lines are used as one modelling input for implied team totals and game script — the same way a weather forecast is an input — and never as a betting recommendation.
If money is involved in your league, that is a matter between you, your league, and the law where you live. Fantasy sports are regulated differently across US states and other countries, and it is your responsibility to know the rules that apply to you. Nothing in Bellcow should be used as the basis for a bet.
If fantasy sports have stopped being fun, or you are worried about how much you are spending, the National Council on Problem Gambling operates a confidential 24/7 helpline in the US at 1-800-GAMBLER.
9. No affiliation
Bellcow GM and Soulvaya Labs, Inc. are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by the National Football League, any NFL club, the NFL Players Association, or Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo or any other fantasy platform. Team, league and player names are used descriptively to identify real people and organisations. All trademarks belong to their owners.
10. No guaranteed results
We do not guarantee that Bellcow will improve your record, your points total, your playoff position or your league finish. Past model performance, backtests and calibration results do not guarantee future results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soulvaya Labs, Inc. is not liable for losses arising from decisions you make using this product, including lost league winnings or entry fees — see section 20 of the Terms.
